Nudger enables you to create location-based reminders.
•Nudges are reminders—text, audio, photo (and soon, video)—that you or your friends have created and assigned to a location.
•When you get within a certain radius of that location, the Nudge pops up on your phone.
•Each Nudge also contains useful internet-sourced information about that location, including images, hours of operation and driving directions.
•Notification Nudges (patent pending) let you tell a friend when you're entering and/or exiting a location.
•You can share Nudges with your friends so the Nudger map is filled with only those locations that you and your friends have chosen.
•The result is a map curated by and for you, which is in part how we came up with our motto: Make better choices.
How might Nudger help you do that? A few examples:
•When You’re Doing Errands
You get home and realize that you forgot to pick something up at the grocery store—which you passed earlier. So you take a picture of your grocery list and create a Nudge for the store. The next time you’re near it, your list pops up. You can also send that Nudge to someone else so they’ll get reminded when they’re near the store.
•When Your Friends Are in Town
Friends are visiting your city (or any city you know well), and you want to give them a list of your favorite places. Until now, you’d have to compile a list of links and send it out, and then they’d have to cross-reference it with a map. With a Nudge Collection, you become a concierge for your friends, supplying them with a list that’s not a static group of words but a curated map. Better yet, anytime your friends are near one of those locations, they see your words or hear your voice describing that particular spot.
•When You’re Getting into Shape
You’ve committed to a healthier lifestyle, but you could use a little help. So you create a Nudge near that donut shop that’s always so tempting. Now when you get close, a Nudge pops up—a picture of the jeans you want to fit into, a motivational speech from your trainer—to keep you on track. And with a Notification Nudge, you can even let your trainer know when you enter and exit the gym.
•When You’re On Your Way
You want to let your friends know when you’re close, but you don’t want to text and drive. Or you want to let your partner know when you leave work. Or let the babysitter know when you’re leaving the restaurant. Whatever the case, a Notification Nudge automatically lets someone know when you enter and/or exit a particular location.
